Five mobile racers that nail the feel
Racing games live and die on how they feel in your hands, and phones make that tricky. There's no wheel, no pedals, just glass. The best mobile racers design around that limitation instead of fighting it.
Ember Circuit is my current favorite because its drift mechanic is forgiving enough to learn but deep enough to master. The boost reward loop keeps every corner interesting.
If you prefer tilt steering, make sure you play sitting still for the first few races. Tilt feels terrible on a wobbly bus and great on a couch, and people judge games unfairly because of this.
A good tip across all of them: turn off auto-acceleration if the option exists. Controlling the throttle yourself usually makes the handling click much faster.
None of these need an always-on connection, which is the detail I check first. A racer that stalls because your signal dropped in a tunnel is a racer I delete.
