Ember Circuit

Ember Circuit is the kind of racer that respects your thumbs. Steering is on a tilt-or-buttons toggle, and I ended up preferring the buttons because the drift timing is so precise. Nail a slide through a hairpin and the boost that follows feels genuinely earned.

The track design carries the game. Each circuit has a rhythm you learn over a few laps, and once it clicks you start chaining corners together without thinking. The neon art style is loud but never confusing, which matters when you're going fast on a small screen.

Car upgrades are grind-based rather than paywalled, which I appreciated. You can unlock everything just by playing, and the handling difference between cars is real enough to matter.
